- The Tournament Series will run from October 24 – 28, 2019 at Fallsview Casino Resort. Single Table Satellites are running now and will be held at Casino Niagara’s Poker Room until Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at approximately 12:00pm. After that time, all Satellites and live poker games will take place at Fallsview Casino Resort’s Grand Hall.

The 247-entry field in the 2019 Card Player Poker Tour Seneca Fall Poker Classic $1,000 no-limit hold’em main event has been narrowed down to just four players left with a chance to secure the title and the top prize of $53,419. In addition to the trophy and the top payout, the eventual champion of this event will also grace the cover of an upcoming issue of Card Player magazine.
Day 2 came to a close with Tom Babiarz in the lead. The Fillmore, NY bagged up 3,065,000. Veerab Zakarian is the next largest stack with 1,700,000, while Peter Kaemmerlen is not far behind with 1,655,000. Henry Zou is the shortest of the four remaining players with 960,000. The remaining competitors have all locked up at least a $17,878 payday. Here is a look at the payouts still up for grabs:
1st place – $53,419

3rd place – $24,201
4th place – $17,878
Play resumed at 11:00 a.m. local time on Sunday, Nov. 17 with 48 players still in the hunt. Only the top 27 finishers made the money. Defending champion of this event Victor Adams cashed, but fell short of making the final table. By the time the unofficial final table of ten was decided, Babiarz had worked his way into the chip lead. Start-of-day leader Harpreet Padda was still among the biggest stacks, as he entered ten-handed action in fourth chip position.
Leo Kaplin was the first player to hit the rail after play resumed at the final table, earning $4,143 as the tenth-place finisher. Steve Calvaneso took home $4,906 when his pocket kings failed to hold up against the A-Q of Henrey Zou.
Scott Muwara also picked up pocket kings and got all-in preflop. Unfortunately for him, his kings had run into the pocket aces of Tom Babiarz. Muwara was unable to come from behind and had to settle for $6,105 as the eighth-place finisher.
Jeffrey Scott got his last chips in preflop in a race situation, with A9 up against the pocket sixes of Babiarz. The race was all but over after a 6-4-4 flop gave Babiarz a full house. Scott’s running aces never materialized and he was knocked out in seventh place ($7,849).
The schedule originally called for play to halt with six players left, but all remaining participants agreed to finish out the level they were playing. In that time two more eliminations took place. Harpreet Padda’s run came to an end when his A-J failed to outrace the pocket sevens of Babiarz, who was running away with things at this point. Padda earned $10,029 as the sixth-place finisher.
Play concluded not long after David Phong hit the rail in fifth place. He got all-in with K-J and was live against the A-10 of Henry Zou, but an ace on the board locked up the pot for Zou and sent Phong home with $13,300.
